About Lumi Frames

In shortLumi Frames is an online shop for illuminated frames. We sell in US dollars, ship worldwide with tracking and write our guides from cited, checkable sources.

The most useful thing to know about Lumi Frames is that we only make one kind of product: frames that light what is inside them, or the wall around them. If you are new to the idea, our guide to what an illuminated frame is and how it works is the best place to start.

Who we are and what we make

We are an online brand focused on a single product category. Our guides are published under the byline Lumi Frames Studio, the name our design and product team uses for shared work.

We make 6 lines of illuminated frame. Each one puts the light in a different place, because a poster, a family photo and a signed jersey need different things:

• Lumi Frames Neon, an LED neon picture frame. Best for statement wall lighting, gaming rooms, gifts.
• Lumi Frames Halo, a backlit picture frame. Best for living rooms, gallery walls, bedrooms.
• Lumi Frames Lightbox, a backlit poster frame. Best for movie posters, home theaters, art prints.
• Lumi Frames Edge, a battery operated light up picture frame. Best for desks, nightstands, gifts.
• Lumi Frames Shadow Box, an LED shadow box. Best for keepsakes, medals, memorabilia.
• Lumi Frames Jersey, an LED jersey frame. Best for jerseys, sports memorabilia.

What we believe about light

Three ideas shape every frame we design and every page we publish.

Light is a material

A framer chooses wood, glass and matting on purpose. We treat light the same way: where it comes from, how warm or cool it is and how bright it gets are design decisions, not afterthoughts. That is why the Neon draws the outline of the frame in light, the Halo washes the wall behind the art, and the Lightbox and Edge light a print evenly from behind. Calm by default

A lit frame should suit a room, not take it over. Every line can be dimmed, most offer warm white settings, and on the Halo and Edge a timer lets the frame glow in the evening and switch itself off. Even the Neon, which can run flowing multicolor light, can be set to a single steady color. Honest specs

We describe what a frame does in plain words and keep the numbers in the spec table on each product page. When a figure comes from a component maker, such as the rated life of an LED, we label it as a manufacturer rating rather than presenting it as our own measurement. If a spec changes, we update the product page.

How we write our guides

Our illuminated frame guides exist to answer real questions, including ones where the honest answer is not one of our frames. Here is how they are made:

1. We start from sources. We research from government agencies, libraries and conservation bodies, safety and health organizations, standards bodies, reference works such as Wikipedia, and manufacturer documentation. Every guide lists its sources at the end, so you can check them yourself.
2. AI tools help us draft and fact-check. We use AI writing tools to help research, organize and draft guides and to cross-check facts. They speed up the work; they are not treated as a source.
3. Claims are checked against the sources. Before a guide is published, we check its factual claims against the sources it cites. Figures that come from a manufacturer are labeled as manufacturer claims.
4. We don't invent experience. We don't claim hands-on test results we have not run, and we don't publish made-up statistics, reviews or testimonials.
5. We say when something else is better. Sometimes a picture light or a simple DIY setup is the right answer. Our comparison of an illuminated frame vs a picture light is one example.
